'remember a stranger' is the debut full-length album by Singapore shoegaze band motifs. Recorded in early 2022 by Leonard Soosay of Snakeweed Studios, the album straddles two themes - 'fading memories' and 'coping with loss'. Many of the songs were inspired by Elspeth Ong's memories of her growing up years and experiences.

The album’s cover art parallels this concept by capturing the sentimentality of childhood, expressing hazy nostalgia—like a memory that you can't quite put your finger on. The band's guitarist JJ took the original photo on an island in Taiwan.

This album is best intended to be heard in sequence.
